Description
This is a close up of the shoulder fracture that I do for my Zombie costume. The bone is a 3.5" broken/hacked piece of a drum stick painted white. Being that this is so close to my face, the base zombie makeup for the shoulder is applied while I'm building "my face". It takes 10-15 layers of latex and tissue. Once dry, I apply the color make up and then cut a small opening for the "bone" to stick out of. Using spirit gum I attach the "bone" inside the hole, then add black cream makeup to the inside of the wound and I top it off with a lot of stage blood. This is one of those fx thats gets tons of attention and it looks great even up close.
